What We Do
SHELTERING & FOSTERING
Protection of gauvansh commences with rescuing stray or deserted gauvansh in despair. We are equipped with 24*7 ambulances & a rescue team on standby for the same
Ailing cows that require medical supervision are kept in separate sheds till they heal completely. Team of medical doctors work round the clock.
Rescued Gauvansh are Sheltered in various cow shelters spread across the country. These shelters are equipped with all facilities and have sufficient space for these gauvansh to roam.
Nourished & nurtured with a lot of care, we ensure the adequate supply of nutritious food & water throughout the year. This includes green and dry fodder, mustard cake, jaggery, grain etc
Procurement, Storage and Cultivation are another highly important aspect for welfare. We require millions of Kilograms of fodder every month. For adequate supply we cultivate high-quality green Fodder to ensure seamless & sufficient supply for these sheltered Gauvansh.
Emphasis on Breeding: Research is underway for developing superior quality breeds of Bulls & High Yielding varieties of cow to encourage farmers to keep indigenous cows.
Bulls are provided on a returnable basis to farmers for bull farming & breeding. This ensures a healthy offspring.
ORGANIC FARMING
We promote cultivation of Grains, Green Fodder and Vegetables without synthetic Pesticides and Fertilizers by providing high yielding cheap/free organic manure with bio fertilizer(bacteria & Fungus) manufactured from cow dung in our Bio CNG unit. This enables farmers to improve soil health & the yield. Society which is presently suffering from poisonous food due to use of chemical pesticides in farming gets benefited from these organic crops. This results in a healthy & happy society.
ENVIRONMENT
We practice and promote generation of Sustainable & Renewable Energy through our Bio Gas Plant & Bio Gas Generator at the Gaurakshashalas. We use Solar Water Pumps, Solar Water Heaters, Solar Genset, Solar Street Lighting (for Gaushala as well as agricultural needs). Everyday around 25000 kg cow dung is converted to CNG Gas & Manure at our Bio CNG Plant.
RELIEF WORK
During natural calamities we extend help in the form of food, shelter, medicines, blankets, etc. During the pandemic (COVID) time or in MP floods in 2021 or the Uttarakhand floods of 2013 etc, thousands of people benefited from our relief centres.

ANIMAL WELFARE
It is one of the Largest Gaurakshashalas of desi Gauvansh in India, providing unconditional life-time support & shelter to thousands of stray Cows, Calves & Bulls. Help to feed, shelter & improve lives of 20,000+ ailing, hurt, abandoned & destitute Cows, Calves and Bulls sheltered in our Gaurakshashalas.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
We are making efforts towards Environment Protection through reduced Carbon Footprint Through Renewable (Solar) Energy and biogas plant. Effective & Efficient functioning of these requires continued support.
AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE
We have taken baby steps towards realizing a dream of “Affordable Medical Assistance for All” at a very affordable/nominal cost. DS Global Heart Care Hospital (Uttarakhand) is one such initiative which gives medical support at charitable rates.
ANNADAAN/FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Annadaan, our free food distribution program, is a cornerstone of our mission. Our Free Food Distribution Drive continues throughout the year. Nutritious & hygienically cooked food is distributed & served to the needy.

We believe a prosperous nation is a result of people with healthy bodies and minds. We are promoting Yoga, Meditation, & Natural and Ayurvedic Treatment through Jhanvi Yoga Dhyan Sevashram Trust, Haridwar (Uttarakhand).
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
We are prioritizing and scaling up research for the development of high yielding indigenous cow breeds and superior quality bulls. This would help us encourage rearing of indigenous cows and bulls.

About Us
Krishnayan’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of Desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray Desi Cows & Bulls, the majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. These cows are brought to our Gaushala from tough conditions. All these cows are fed, sheltered, and looked after by hundreds of Gausewaks who work round the clock. This Gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not exploit these cows for milk but distribute it free to saints / tapaswis / Gausewaks / Ashrams.
We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar, and presently we shelter and feed more than 21000 cows & Bulls in various locations all put together. This number is ever-increasing as stray Desi Cows & Bulls mostly deserted by their owner are brought to our Gaurakshashala every day.
