Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti is one of India's largest
shelters for Desi cows. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray
Desi Cows & Bulls, the majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from
butchers.
We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed
more than 21000 cows & Bulls in various locations all put together. This number is
ever-increasing as stray Desi Cows & Bulls mostly deserted by their owner are brought to our
Gaurakshashala every day. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. These cows are brought to
our Gaushala from tough conditions. All these cows are fed, sheltered and looked after by
hundreds of Gausewaks who work round the clock. This Gaushala is run and managed by saints.
We do not exploit these cows for milk but distribute it free to saints / tapaswis /
Gausewaks / Ashrams. The mission continues to grow as more abandoned Gauvansh find refuge
here daily.
Offering sanctuary to abandoned, injured and neglected cows while ensuring their holistic care and well-being.
Promoting sustainable agriculture by utilizing cow-derived products like dung and urine for organic manure and bio-pesticides.
Providing comprehensive medical care, including regular health check-ups, vaccination drives and emergency treatments for all sheltered cattle.
Implementing an advanced storage and distribution system to ensure a consistent supply of nutritious fodder year-round.
At the heart of Shree Krishnayan lies Gauraksha—our unwavering commitment to protect, respect and serve our Desi cows. Rooted in Sanatan Dharma, our cow shelters are not just homes, but temples of compassion where no cow is ever neglected or exploited.
Over 25,000 cows and bulls rescued from abuse, abandonment, and slaughter.
