Cause:-
In Hindu religion, Purnima Tithi is considered very auspicious. The full moon day of Vaishakh month is known as Buddha Purnima and Buddha Jayanti. This festival is celebrated by followers of both Hindu and Buddhist religions. Today there are more than 180 crore people in the world who believe in Buddhism and celebrate it with great pomp. It is celebrated in India, China, Nepal, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan and many other countries of the world. It is implied in the scriptures that Lord Buddha was born on Vaishakh Purnima Tithi. On this day, attainment of knowledge and salvation took place. Therefore, Buddha Jayanti is celebrated every year on Vaishakh Purnima date.
Every month, Purnima is celebrated on the next day of Chaturdashi tithi of Shukla Paksha. Thus, Vaishakh Purnima is on 12th May. Lord Buddha is worshiped on this day. On this occasion, people take a dip of faith in holy rivers including Ganga. They also do charity and charity by worshiping. It is believed that fasting and performing virtuous deeds on the day of Vaishakh Purnima brings auspicious results.
On Vaishakh Purnima, one should take bath in the water of the holy river, then worship Lord Satyanarayan at home and at night, worship Goddess Lakshmi by offering Arghya to the moon and offering kheer to her. It is believed that this increases happiness and prosperity, brings good fortune in life and gives mental peace. Along with this, happiness and prosperity resides. According to the scriptures, if a pot filled with water and utensils are donated on the day of Buddha Purnima, one gets the same virtue as Godan. On this day, recite Satyanarayan Katha at home and offer lotus flower to Goddess Lakshmi at night. It is said that this brings blessings in wealth.
The worship method for fasting on this day is similar to other Purnima fasts. On this day, wake up early in the morning before sunrise and take bath in a holy river. After taking bath, offer Arghya to Sun God while chanting Surya Mantra. After taking bath, take a pledge to fast and worship Lord Vishnu. By donating sesame seeds along with sugar to 5 or 7 Brahmins, sins are destroyed. On this full moon, light a sesame oil lamp and also offer sesame seeds. During the fast on this day, consume food only once.
Since bathing in Ganga has been given special recognition in this Purnima, come to Shree Krishnayan Gaushala and worship Buddha Purnima in the divine atmosphere of more than 22 thousand cows in the Gaushala which is situated on the banks of the holy river Ganga in Haridwar. This will bring you good luck.

‘Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray desi cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. This gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not sell milk or milk products. We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed more than 30000 cows We are registered with Animal Welfare Board of India (Chennai) and with animal welfare board in various states.
